After examination of two specimens of
E. japonensis IMAIZUMI, and one skull, accompanied by measurements of the body and of one other specimen, of
E. parvus KISHIDA, the following characters seem to distinguish the two forms: in
japonensis, brain case narrow, profile of skull straight without any convexity at supra-occipital region; anterior portion of rostrum narrow and lateral concavities well marked; narial emargination long and narrow, 2.6×2.1 and 2.4×1.9 against 2.3×2.3 in
parvus; palatal emargination narrow, 1.5 and 1.5 against 1.9 in
parvus; upper canine with 3 surfaces instead of 4 of in
parvus; tail shorter.
