Understanding of water behavior is required for the selection of large afforestation sites in arid lands. Therefore we developed an original runoff model for understanding water behavior in a closed basin in Western Australia. In this study, we derive 3 types of infiltration formula from cylinder intake-rate experiments at 2 sites with different infiltration rates to evaluate the effects of choice of the 3types on fitting parameters of the original runoff model.
