JOURNAL OPEN ACCESSA parallel computation system for calculating a demagnetizing field in a distributed environment is presented. The system uses a hierarchically organized communication structure to reduce the time needed for communication between workstations. When 139 workstations were used, the total calculation speed was the same as that of a vector-type supercomputer with a computing speed of 1 GFLOPS.View full abstractDownload PDF (446K)
