The last report of the series describes the research results concerning quantity symbols, unit symbols, references, author abstracts, number of copies to be submitted, address, page charge and reprint fee, copyright, and keywords and classification codes to be assigned, and compares them with those of research conducted in 1973. It was found that the Notices to Contributors have hardly changed since 1973 and they are still ununified although ISO and Science and Technology Agency (Japan) have set standards on them. For instance, large variance in bibliographical items, the description order and punctuation was shown using some figures. The author points out the necessity of systematic activity toward the standardization.
