First, this article describes definition and procedure of the digital forensics. Next, the procedures of digital forensics on the preparation stage, data collection stage, data recovery stage, data analysis stage, and report making stage for the information leakage caused by internal injustice are explained. Then, after showing various classification axes and the perspective of digital forensics, main technologies for digital forensics such as data recovery technology are explained in some detail. Last of all, we deal with the technologies whose importance will increase in the future such as network forensics.

Since the release of the G8 Open Data Charter in 2013, the word "open data" has already become established in our society in several fields, such as government and academics. However, there is no strict definition and few case studies on "open data" yet. Therefore, many potential participants cannot find what is the good practices for both providing and using open data. To promote the open data strategy, we should share these and rethink the definition of "open data". In this article, I discuss what is at the heart of "open data", through my experiences with some of my publications, for the next stage of open data in our society.

Evidence-based Education means an approach to policy making and practice that is based on useful evidence derived from educational research, and that aims to achieve social utilization. This paper examines changes in the social context of this term, which mainly consist of trends in knowledge production and the utilitarian views in research outcomes that exist in a knowledge society. Then, it discusses what works in medical and educational research― on the supply side from researchers' accountability to policy, educational budget, and the cost/benefit of research, and on the demand side from policy makers. Finally, Evidence-based Education is reconsidered in the context of the relationship between research and policy regarding knowledge management.

This paper describes how the OECD Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) has been conducted, how the results from PISA are published, and how to (re)use the results. First, I describe the overview of PISA. Second, I represent how PISA test is conducted, such as making the PISA test manual, training the test administrator, and program quality control. Third, I introduce how the results of PISA are available as the official reports and Web site, as well as related services for data analysis such as PISA Explorer.

The journal of Analytical Sciences, which is an international journal of analytical chemistry published monthly by the Japan Society for Analytical Chemistry (JSAC), was launched in 1985. The journal contains 200-300 scientific and technological papers in the field of analytical chemistry every year. It has been a complete open access journal since 2001. Here, I briefly show strategic plans to enforce journal contents, group managements in the JSAC, and cooperation with international analytical chemistry journals.

Nowadays Online LaTex Editors like Overleaf and Authorea are increasingly being launched. These editors, a new platform supporting researchers to get through the process of writing, posting and being published which university libraries do not give opportunities to them to the full extent, could fill in those possible discontinuities in the submission flow. I examine the future effect of "these collaborative writing and publishing tools which would possibly act beyond the call of duty of existing editors, and change the entire process of manuscript submission" on the publishers and research organizations who are involved in academic communications. I overview the brief characteristic and the function of this current typical collaborative writing tool service called Overleaf, then outlook required research support system of university libraries, and possible future changes to manuscript submission process.
