Karada Johokan (Health Care Archive), a patients' library, was opened in the Tokyo Women's Medical University Hospital in June, 2003. Library users include patients, visitors, and neighbors in the community. The users can use medical textbooks, magazines, and internet services provided at the library. The librarians and nurses are available to answer questions and to help patients find various kinds of medical information. In this study, we examined the questions on diseases or health conditions asked by the library users in the most recent three months. The results gave a better idea about the management of the library and will serve as a good reference in our future plans to collect better materials.
