The purpose of this survey is to estimate the emission factors of air pollutants and odor, during the field burning of lumbered woods, in order to assess the impacts of field burning in the land reclamation to surrounding circumstances. As subjective pollutants were selected suspended particles, tars, total hydro carbons (THC), carbon dioxides (CO
2), carbon oxides (CO) and odor. So model experiments were made in similar conditions to the actual field burning in the land reclamation in the shrubby zone, and then the concentrations of these pollutants and generating quantity of the smoke were measured and meteorological factors were observed.
In result of this field burning experiment, the concentration of each pollutants contained in the smoke and the generating quantity of smoke from burning woods were made clear in each run, and the effective height of source, initial width of the smoke plume and y axial and z axial wid-ths of the smoke plume, applied to the plume model, were evaluated by the analysis of V T R pictures.
