    The pulling performance of the tractors, which are well adapted to heavy duties, as soil-improvement work and reclamation work etc., should be determined with not only the drawbar horse power but the maximum drawbar pull and the increasing rate of slip causing by the draft.
    This paper contains the maximum drawbar pulls and the maximum specific drawbar pulls (The maximum drawbar pull/Total weights of tractor including fuel, oil, water and operater) characterized to the type of tractor-crawler, semi-crawler, and wheel-which were investigated in the different types of soils-dry or wet heavy clay soil, clay-loam and volcanic light sandy loam or gravelly soil. i. e.
    1. If the type of tractor and the method of hitching are both similar, the max. specific drawbar pulls are approximately constant value concerning with the type of soil. (vid. Table 3)
    2. The value of the max. specific drawbar pull may be higher in heavy clay soil, lower in volcanic soils, and medium in clay-loam.
    3. In heavy clay soil, increasing the moisture content, decreases the max. specific drawbar pull. But just opposite in volcanic soils.
    4. Where the moisture content is not so much in heavy clay soils, the max. specific drawbar pull of crawler tractor is a little higher than wheel tractor. But in volcanic soils, the difference of these values is evidently large amount.
    5. If wheel tractors are set the wheels on the land for subsoil-plowing, where the furrow walls may collapse easily, the max. specific drawbar pull decreases evidently, in such field it is almost impossible to increase the max. drawbar pull by setting the wheels in the furrow-sole.

    (1) Reaction forces at the bottom (or landside plate) of plow with vertical suction are considered as two supporting points in two dimensional problem.
    (2) When a plow with suction is set at the same condition as a plow without suction in balancing state of external forces, reactions at bottom are not necessarily same, but in case of former moment of force originates.
    (3) This moment is inclined to set down the front point of bottom, so the suction is useful in deep plowing.
    (4) The value of the moment is determined with arm length l, and l is increasing function of suction angle at front point α, but decreasing function of suction angle at rear point β.
    In order to be effective the suction, α must be rather larger and α must be rather smaller, and real plows are observed to be manufactured to satisfy this conditions.

    We can find the cutting energy of cutteres by measurement of the reduce of the fly-wheel's revolution, under a free revolution of it. So we measured number of the revolution of the flywheel with the next method.
    When a photo-electric tube was exposed to the light through the exactly same interval holes was oponed the disc plate that was fixed on the main shaft of the cutter, the alternating current voltage with cycle proportional to the revolution of the knife was generated. Next stage, this generated voltage was lead to the circuits of a oscillation after through two step amplifires. Then, we took photographs of the variation of this oscillating voltage that was appeared on the oscillograph.
    We adjusted the moment of inertia of the flywheel, so as to reduce the R. P. M. about 30-20% when finished the cutting, and could measure the cutting resistance under to 300 R. P. M. from 100 R. P. M. In addition, the generated cycles of this apparatus was to 1200c/s from 400c/s.

    The influence of several factors upon the operation of the oilbath air cleaner of farm engines was investigated and the following facts were found.
    1. The dust proof faculty of the cleaner advances with the increase of oil depth in the cleaner shell: the faculty at maximum depth is superior as much as 18 percent to that at minimum.
    2. The faculty in question is affected by the viscosity of mobile oil in the cleaner shell: it decreases as far as the certain degree of decline of the viscosity, but beyond that, on the contrary, increases.
    3. Mobile oil in the cleaner should be renewed when the contamination amounts to 20%. At the contamination of over 30% diminishes the faculty remarkably.
    4. The air capacity diminshes in proportion to the excess amount over 60-65 grams of dust particles supplied to the cleaner.
    5. The annexation of mobile oil to the element raises the dust proof percentage. It will therefore be attributed to the adherence of oil to the element under tremulous circumstances that this sort of cleaner sustains its high faculty.
    6. So far as the same sort of dust is concerned, the dust particle is, the more it passes through the cleaner.
    7. The injurous effect of the farm dusts tested on the dust proof faculty is less in the order: soil dust>BHC powder>slaked lime.

    Upon the vibration isolating method of the field work which support on the soil surface with one cylinder horizontal type engine and drive the working machines, the theoretical study is method of forced vibration with the reversive force on spring vibration system which support the engine with vibration isolating frame and rubber. The external force is the resultant force of compression and torsion which subtract friction force from the mean shaking force of engine. And it was added the natural frequency of rubber to this, calculated the total amplitude according to Martienssen's theory and, still more, it was added the free vibration part.
    At this result of calculation, the amplitude is become smaller according as larger the engine revolution. The experiment was added the method of rubber and pile to this method. On the consideration from states of working load and soil condition etc., the most effective absorption method is the system which insert the rubber absorber between the pile or frame than used the pile much only.

    (1) The writer was done theoretical analysis by conformal projection method on the potential flow of agricultural chemicals throngh the ball valve for use of power sprayer. To solve this problem let us assume the motion to be two dimensional of course and neglect influence due to the friction and the compressibility of the fluid.
    (2) The first, to solve this problem the writer used the Swarz-christoffel's integral method, as so case of poppet valve or a plane seated valve. But it could not solved.
    (3) And so, the secand, by the hodograph method writer obtained the equation of Jet, as so the case of motion of hydraulics or orifice.
    (4) Let us insert numerical values to this equation, and studies the flow characteristics, and relation between lift of velocity, angle and contraction coefficient. This result is followed the relation between velocity or lift is proportionally, and angle changes about 0°-50° and contraction coefficient valve is 0.55-0.66 and with the increase of the lift, μ is decreases.
    (6) But this paper is theoretical analysis to solved under some assume, on the power sprayer that motion is difference and so need to cheek it by the experimental research.

    Depend on “the sifting theory of grain sorter”, I come to the conclusion that, in order to preserve the fine sifting degree, the need of self-regulating apparatus of flow is keenly felt.
    Abter a several attempts, succeed to consummate a suitable apparatus and the grain sorter with that apparatus has good reputation on the market.
    On this first report, I shall explain the mechanism of my apparatus.

    In order to mitigate tillage energy and improve deep till ability, auther designed and made a installation which allied mechanism of Charpy Tester to measure tillage energy, and mainly as result of experiments on sand soils would be able to keep uniformity of condition, obtained the following conclusins.
    1) On the similler pitch, in case the tillage depth less than 12cm, change of energy are comparatively little but in case the depth larger than 12cm it has suddenly need of large energy. Tendeny of the enlargement of energy with increrse the depth, the larger pitch the more.
    2) In case the piercing degree (β) of cutlery should be changed by shaft of supporter (γ) moved horizontally, when the theoretical pitch (ps) are little comparativelp, energy take the smallest figure in about 82°-83°, and the larger (ps) the better (β) allow to approach 90° gradually.
    3) Energy are small in case the length (E) of supporter shortend, but taking care on being bigger (β), revolving motion of crank, and maximum depth, etc, (E) are desirable as shorten as possible.
    4) In case changed the locus degree (γ) of cutlery's extremity with moving shaft of supporter (γ) vertically, (γ) are desirable above 67°. But as maximum permissible pitch (pm) became smaller in case (γ) grow larger, for limit of (pm) need above 8cm, I recognized (γ) should be controlled less than about 70° against (β)=82°.
    5) For in case the length of connecting-rod (C) are too shortend energy grow larger, and in case the (C) are too long (γ) grow bigger, its length should be decided taking care on (pm).
    6) In case the pitch are 1-7cm and tillage depth are 15cm, tillage energy per pitch on sand soils are 7-11kg·cm/cm (7-8 in the state of good mechanism) and generally the larger pitch its figures should become the more. By citing a few experiments which have been put in practice, energy on loam soils or clay soils need 5-6 or 6-9 times on sand soils respectively, and the larger pitch its ratio should become the more.
