Zirconium oxide ceramics have been widespread in clinical use in recent years. We studied the influence of treatment with MDP-containing primer on the bond strength of resin cement to the Ce-TZP/Al₂O₃ nano composite block. We compared the bond strength of the self-adhesive resin cement to Ce-TZP/Al₂O₃ nano composite treatment with MDP-containing primer and without the treatment. Treatment with the MDP-containing primer with application of the self-adhesive cement led to a higher bonding strength than the adhesive resin cement. Based on this study, the combination of MDP-containing primer and self-adhesive resin cement can improve the bond strength of zirconia prostheses.
