In order to prevent cement mortar rendering from exfoliation, the layer constitutions is supposed to be important.
Drying shrinkage strain and mass reduction of he rendering layers with four types of the constitution, namely thin single layer, double ones,triple ones and thick single one, were measured during 28days under a stable atmosphere.
As a result,the following items are clarified;
1)Although the contraction and warp components of drying shrinkage strains were different from the four types of
rendering constitution,the thick single layer was largest among them.
2)The mass reduction due to drying in case of the thick single layer was largest among them.
3)The thick single layer was not appropriate for rendering.
4)The drying shrinkage behaviors of the thin single layer was less stable than the two cases multiple layers.
