1. For decreasing the feeling of fatigue resulted from the unsuitable postures and motions of the traditional hand singling work, the hand singling method by workers sitting on the platform moun-on tractor was tried on drilled feed turnip field from 1967 to 1971. The effects of this improvement of the working method on the feeling of fatigue of the workers postures of workers were confirmed by two surveys.
2. Among the various postures of workers on the platform, the sitting and crouching posture was found to be the most suitable one for this work.

From the questionaires submitted by 14 workers who had experience of both traditional and platfrom method for the preference in these singling methods (Survey I), it was found that beyond 70% workers out them preferred to platfrom method because the feeling of fatigue brought from the work was lighter in the platform method and it was estimated that this feeling of fatigue in the platform method was psycologically equivalent to the feeling of tediousness in the monotonous driving of tractor in this method.
4. From the survey of the parts of workers' body where they felt fatigue and/or disposition by the works in both mehods (Survey II), it was found that at just after the work end the frequency of the complaints on the fatigue and disposition was higher in the platform method than the traditional one, but at the next morning the frequency was higher in the traditional method than in the platform one. The frequency of the complaints was particularly high at just after the work end in the parts which engaged to support the working posture and at the next morning in the parts which engaged in singling motion. The reason of above difference in frequencies in both methods was presumed that there are more parts engaging in supporting the working posture in the platform method and in singling motions in the traditional method and thus they would prefer the platform method by the reason of this shorter durability of fatigue and disposition.
4. From these results it was cleared that the felling of fatigue of the workers was decreased by changing the singling method from the traditional method to the platform method.
