1. For the investigation of the changes of the time requirements for the work and the rest during the works and the individual differences of these requirements among workers, the time studies were carried out on the about 6, 4 and 2 hour's works of the plant singling by the traditional method in turnip fields.
2. The time requirements for the works, the walking speeds in the works and the time ratios of rest to work were influenced considerably by the conditions of fields and plants and the mental states of the workers, and were different among the workers especially in short time works.
3. The workers in their fifties were larger in the time requirements for the works, slower in the walking speeds and lower in the time ratios of rest to work than the younger workers.
4. When the workers did not make haste psycologically with their works, the ratios of rest to work increased in proportion to the work time elasped and the coefficient of correlation between the walking speeds and the time ratios of rest to work was highly significant among workers.
5. When they made haste psycologically with their works, the workers in their fifties accomplished it by lowering the time ratio of rest to work, and the younger workers by walking faster.
6. The averge time requirement for the singing work was 19.3min. per are including rest time and 13.6min. per are excluding rest time.
It was assumed that the difference of the time requirment to previous article was principally resulted from the difference of the degree of the precision in singling.
