In this study. the effects of soil texture and travelling speed on fuel consumption in plowing were examinded. The following results were obtained.
From the experiment of plowing in three different soil textures, fuel consumption per ha was 1.18 times (loamy soil) and 1.51 times (clayey soil) greater than sandy soil. The effect of soil texture on fuel consumption seemed remarkable, but there were no notable differences in net workig time or field efficiency.
From the experiment of travelling speed in plowing, fuel consumption (
kg/h) was increased with the increase of speed in every gear. The most effective fuel consumption in plowing can be seen as about 1700rpm in engine revolution in a transmission gear of H1 (travelling speed was about 5-6
km/h).
