After statistical researches into the relationship of farm products, vegetables and fruits per head by city, town and village in Tochigi Prefecture in 1975 to the cor rected rate of death by city, town and village i n the same prefecture in 1975, the subordinate population index in 1975, the rate of longevity and the aged population index in 1975, we have come t o the following conclusions.1) The corrected rate of death by city, town and village in 1975 closely resembles the distribution of that of five years ago. Namely, the zone of relatively low corrected mortality extends along the National Tohoku Line and the Private Tobu Line from the southeast to the northwest.2) The subordinate population index in 1975, the rate of longevity and the aged population index resemble the distribution of those of five years ago, and so no remarkable differences can be seen between them.3) As to the relation of farm products, vegetables and fruits per head by city, town and village to the corrected rate of death, sweet peppers show negative correlation at the statistically significant level of 5%, and green field peas show positive correlation at the statistically significant level of 5%.4) As t o the relation of farm products, vegetables and fruits per head by city, town and village to the subordinate population index, soybeans, azuki beans and konnyakuimo show positive correlation at the statistically significant level of 1%, 1% and 5% respectively, and cabbages and spinach show negative corre lation at the statistically significant level of 5%.5) As to the relation of farm products, vegetables and fruits per head by city, town and village to the rate of longevity, potatoes, soybeans, azuki beans, Welsh onions, ume apricots and konnyakuimo show positive correlation at the statistically significant level of 1% respectively, and rice, cucumbers and persimmons show positive correlation at the statistically significant level of 5% respectively.6) As to the relation of farm products, vegetables and fruits per head by city, town and village to the aged population index, potatoes, sweet potatoes, soybeans, azuki beans, Welsh onions, persimmons and konnyakuimo show positive correlation at the statistically significant level of 1% respectively, and rice and lettuces show positive correlation and negative correlation at the statistically significant level of 5% respectively.
