This rule changes every year. It is important to technology transfer from upper class student to lower class students at the event. But now, Rule changes to wrong direction. The electric power consumption in the air-conditioning becomes a peak load to in the summer. Repetitive control is installed into the current control of the residential photovoltaic power generation system. The generation system is interconnected to the utility grid. The control command and disturbance of the inverter is a periodic line frequency value. The control stability and suppression of the disturbance are realized by the repetitive control of the current signal. The control is implemented into single-chip microcomputer by the software. 18kHz control of the current realizes low distortion output and enables us to use smaller power inductor of the filter.

Chubu Electric Power Co., Inc. & Kobe Steel Ltd. has developed UHE (Ultra-High Efficiency) screw chiller which has 40∿50% better COP than conventional screw chillers thanks to the combination of many epoch-making new technologies including Lorentz cycle with non-azeotropic refrigerant (R407), liquid subcooling systems, high efficiency semi-hermetic screw compressor employing Kobe's own "Super Rotor" and more. UHE is also environmental friendly by using HFC refrigerant which Zero ozone-depletion potential and is lowest TEWI (Total Equivalent Warming Impact) in all type chillers. UHE's TEWI is as low as 60∿70% of conventional chillers or 25∿30% of gas absorption type chiller

Chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) long used as refrigerants in air conditioners and refrigerators have been found to contribute to the destruction of the earth's ozone layer. We developed CFCs decomposition system using Microwave Plasma suitable for on-site type system because of the following characteristics : Compact, Easy operation, Low cost. This system consists of three units, Main (decomposition) Unit, Cooling Unit and Dehydration Unit connected by slurry piping. This system can decompose 2kg of CFC12 per hour on the condition of braking down over 99.99% of CFCs. Emission (HF, HCl, CO and DXNs) in exhaust gas meets United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) guidelines.

This paper describes a new imaging pyrometer for analyzing combustion and melting phenomenon. This approach is based on a practical computation of output signals from video camera. The concept of the temperature computation is based on ratio temperature, where ratio temperature is a true temperature for the gray body. Two of output signals from red, green and blue sensors are selected to obtain the reciprocal temperatures, which are proportional to each other. Then, by numerical simulation, we have proved that ratio temperature can be correctly obtained "until the" spectral band's widths of specified two wavelengths "extends" to several hundreds nano-meters. By utilizing this High-speed imaging/ratio temperature radiometer, variations of the geometrical shape and temperature of object can be measured at the same time.

High heat exchanger performance in Car air conditioners is very important to comfortable living and energy saving. We studied the refrigerant heat transfer enhancement in a car heat exchanger with projections (dimples) on its inner walls. Experimental and analytical results showed that elliptical dimple is optimum in heat transfer coefficient in for all types of dimple. Heat transfer coefficient of tubes with elliptical dimples is as twice that of a conventional tube with inner fins. For a evaporator tube with dimples, heat transfer maintained the same compared to a current evaporator with inner fined tubes however a weight to the evaporator with dimple was 10% less than current one.

IMS, a program first proposed by Japan in 1989,aims at improving the circumstances around manufacturing industries and developing the next generation of manufacturing technologies and systems. It is unique and unprecedented mechanism supported by industry, academia as well as governments, challenging to undertake industry-led international collaborative R&D among six participant regions; Australia, Canada, the EU, Japan, Switzerland (EFTA) and the USA. Almost ten years having passed since its initial proposal, the IMS program now see its selected 20 international projects implemented after two-year feasibility study bringing about substantial results on a steady basis. With increasing number of proposals actively proposed by member regions, this initiative will further expand its effective network and enhance global manufacturing cooperation as expected.
