    For the fitness club industry, It has been a major problem that members' withdrawal rate is so high. Therefor, customer satisfaction research began to draw attention of researchers and practitioners. It is because customer satisfaction research is based on the consensus that the possibility that a satisfied customer starts re-purchase behavior is high. However, the relationship between customer satisfaction and re-purchase behavior has not been necessarily proved empirically. Most researchers only take up the connection between satisfaction and re-purchase "intention", not actual "behavior". The purposes of this study were (1) to examine whether member's satisfaction affect their memberships renewal/withdrawal behavior, by using longitudinal method, and (2) to find means to reduce the members' withdrawal rate by clarifying withdrawal reasons. Two times of investigations were carried out to the members of a fitness club in Nagoya. 635 samples were collected in the first investigation, and 138 samples were collected in the second investigation which carried out to members who had withdrawn one year later. The main results were as follows; 1) Satisfaction of the withdrawal was lower than that of the renewal. Satisfaction of the withdrawal felt down more just before withdrawing. Satisfaction of the withdrawal by problems of managerial condition was lower than that of the withdrawal by other problems. Therefore, it is proved that satisfaction has a great influence to the renewal/withdrawal behavior. 2) People who are young, people whose membership periods were short, and people whose use frequencies of the club were low were contained much in the withdrawal. The satisfaction factors about the effect on exercise and the human relations of the withdrawal were low. It seems that the various conditions which obstruct the club use are the major reasons of withdrawal. Some implications to raise satisfaction were discussed from the results above.

    Although research on community sports has investigated sports and sports promotion in communities and municipalities, it has not discussed the relationship between the community or community life and sports. The purpose of the present research is to elucidate the policy for organizing sports and the life problems faced by the Kashima Development Project. Sports policy in Kashima town was established by an exogenous development model known as the Kashima Development Project. The Kashima Development Project concluded as the result of various life problems faced by old and new residents of Kashima during the dramatic change from merely a rural region to an important steel/petrochemical district and the establishment of a new traffic network. In particular, social strain in education was a serious problem. The Kashima Football Association was established as a life organization in order to eliminate social strain among residents. Another life problem faced in Kashima was the insufficient social overhead capital and the limited number of young residents who chose to settle in Kashima town. In order to make the Kashima district more attractive, Sumitomo Steel Industries (Ltd), the Governor of Ibaraki prefecture, the Mayor of Kashima, and corporations in the Kashima Coastal Industrial Zone and other concerned organizations developed a plan to enter the football team of Sumitomo Steel Industries (Ltd) in the J League and approached the Japan Football Association. The establishment of a sports promotion policy in the Kashima district resulted from the inevitability of life organization as a compensation for social strain in the community and community life and the introduction of an endogenous consciousness of factors critical to community life. The present research discusses the state of community sports and clarifies the necessity of a sports promotion policy by examining the relationship between community life and sport.

    Many arguments about leadership in organization of physical education have been made. But only a little has been mentioned about studies on communication and interaction in a group of teachers or function of leader's behavior in communication-field . And there still remains a wide unexplored domain of a process of PE service producing. Therefore, the purpose of this research was to explain the character of communication-field leader's utterances, and to show the picture of sharing the sense of value for PE teaching. The two sub assignment were 1)to classify the communication-field leader's utterances and to clarify those characteristics in a group of teachers that they shared the sense of value for PE teaching, and 2)to make analysis of the utterance of leader through classification and to show the picture of sharing the knowledge through observing in communication-field. From this research, utterance of leader was classified as follows^ l)to state (a)with bases, (b)without bases, 2)to reform (a)to reform with bases, (b)to reform without bases, 3)to ask question (a)for taking opinion of followers, (b)to convince followers, (c)to pose questions, 4)to specify, 5)to agree, 6)to object, 7)to inform, 8)to decide, 9)to request affairs, 10)to order affairs, ll)to inform affairs, 12)to chair, 13)others. Major findings were summarized as follows: 1. Leader showed the sense of value for PE teaching through perpetual statements, reforming, and agreement. And leader's sense of value was accumulated as each teacher's tacit knowledge. 2. Teacher's sense of value for PE teaching as tacit knowledge wasn't changed into explicit knowledge. In case group, difference between each teacher's tacit knowledge is kept small, but that obstructs renewal of sense of value. The category of communication-field leader in this research will become more accurate through more case studies and theoretical examinations. A causal relationship between communication as a process of PE service producing and outcome of management will be clarified through quantitative analysis.
