Self-Consistent analytical and numerical investigations to determine the excited electromagnetic fields by a high-density intense relativistic electron beam with finite radius passing through a cylindrical cavity are carried out. In contrast to the results by Grishaev and Shenderovich, our results show that the excited electric field for the dominant mode TM
010 tends to a saturation limit with the increase in beam density. However, for tenuous or thin beam our results coincide with theirs.
