In this study, a formation process of a weld pool and a dynamic flow of molten metal are simulated by an incompressible SPH (Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics) method taking into account molten metal droplets in arc welding process. As a result, after metal droplets fall into a weld pool, a mixing behavior of the droplets due to convection and diffusion is visualized. Furthermore, when the molten metal droplets fall, the penetration becomes deeper than the case without molten metal droplets. It is found that the molten metal droplets which have high temperature strongly affect the formation of a weld pool.
