It is a fundamental condition to obtain a good quality of picture for under-water photogrammetry. The authers tried out an experimental analysis to make clear what sort of distortions appear on the picture by the refraction when taking the photograph under water by using a camera with the lens system manufactured for aerial use.
Furthermore, the authers refer to optical properties which are caused by the shape of front window of water-proof receptacle. There still remains the unknown in this field due to the insufficient data. This research aims at obtaining the basic data for under-water photography.

The spectral reflectance factor of wheat was measured using a portable spectroradiometer-a newly developed instrument used collecting useful ground truth data for remote sensing.
(1) The ratio of reflectance facter between IR and R, (ie. IR/R), in May and June were found to be closely related with the wheat yield.
(2) The chang of the ratio, IR/R, from May to June was useful in estimating the growth stage of wheat.
(3) Red reflectance factor was found to be closely correlated to the moisture content of wheat, and the reflectance factor at the end of July was considered an indicater of maturity of wheat.
