A sensitivity analysis on aerosol parameter estimation with measured solar direct and diffuse irradiance is made together with proposed solar direct and diffuse irradiance measuring instrument of solar direct and diffuse irradiance (optical Fiber Guided Hemispherical Spectral Radiometer : FighSR). Sky-radiometer and aureole-meter is well known instrument with sun tracking mechanics which allows measurements of solar direct and diffuse irradiance for estimation of aerosol parameter. The proposed measuring instrument also allows solar direct and diffuse irradiance measurements without sun tracking mechanics so that it is comparatively light and small. Therefore, it is portable and is easy to bring to test sites for field campaigns. Aerosol parameter estimation error caused by measurement error of Sky-radiometer, aureole-meter as well as the proposed FighSR instrument is also discussed. Experimental results show that Root Mean Square Error : RMSE of refractive index for 1.747-i0.0056 of refractive index at 500nm is 0.025 (Real) and 0.008 (Imaginary) when less than 5% of solar direct and diffuse irradiance measurement bias error is taken into account for both FighSR and Sky-radiometer. Meanwhile RMSE of Junge parameter is 0.25 when the Junge parameter is 3.5915 for the same bias error.
Clustering of multiple image such as multispectral and hyperspectral image has some challenges. First, the computational complexity increases in proportion to the number of multiple image. Second, the performance is decreased by mixed improper images. Therefore, dimensionality compression and dimensionality reduction of multiple image are needed for the computational complexity decrease and the accuracy improvement of clustering. Then, this technical report marks on dimensionality reduction of the multiple image, and proposes a method to select subimage from multiple image on the eigenspace. To validate the effectiveness of the proposed method, selection of subimage is performed using Landsat TM multispectral image. A landcover classification map which is created as the result of clustering is compared with aerial photo.
In this technical report, we propose a method of digital watermarking for airborne laser scanner data. Our method is executed in two steps. In the first step, the area in which we bury digital watermarking is selected by a method of using entropy. In the second step, digital watermarking is buried in the selected area. At this time, the error margin caused by burial of digital watermarking is reduced by using mode filter. Through the experiments using DSM (Digital Surface Model) data, we demonstrate the effectiveness of our method.
Normal fault type earthquake (M7.0) was occurred at Fukushima-ken Hamadouri area on 11th April 2011. A lot of displacements with this earthquake were appeared along the Idosawa fault in the inland area of Iwaki city locates in the southeast of Fukushima prefecture. The maximum displacements reach into 2m are seen around Shionohira settlement. 3D laser scanner measurement was done near the settlement. Measurement results provided us precise surface image of distribution of displacements. Not only obvious gaps at the field, but unrecognizable flexure are able to be figured out, which cannot be measured by discrete survey with leveling rod or other surveying instruments. This precise surface image is expected to give us a figure of geomorphological process by the earthquake.
This paper discusses the expected accuracy of the 3D measurement by using a pair of convergent stereo photographs. The only assumption in the discussion is that the optical axes of both the left and right cameras lie on the same plane. The theoretical accuracy of the object-space coordinates of a point is obtained from the measurement accuracy of a point position on a photograph by using the rules of error propagation. The general formulas expressing the root mean square error of the object-space coordinates of a point include the object-space coordinates of the point. The approximate formulas for the normal case and convergent stereo photographs shown in some literatures on photogrammetry are derived from the obtained general formulas.
