Electric charges, surface concentrations, and the dynamic behaviours of Cs, Re, and O on self-supported disk surface of Cs and Re-doped silver powder during the operation of O2-Jet under UHV were examined using XPS. Pile-up and creep-in of doped elements, in analogy with O, were observed with heating and cooling of the sample, respectively. A drastic shift of Re 4 f7/2 spectrum of 46.7 (Re7+) to 40.9 e V (Re0) took place when the sample was heated at 110 to 210°C, while Cs 3 d5/2 only lay in the range of 724.8∼725.2 e V. Conspicuous transient responses to O2-Jet were exhibited by the sample heated at 210°C; with increasing exposure time, the binding energy of Re 4 f7/2 rapidly shifted from 40.9 (Re0) to 45.3 eV (Re6+), Cs 3 d5/2 did so from 725.2 to 724.6 e V, and O 1s gradually became a twin peak of 530.5 and 528.9 e V, of which composition of five core spectra obtained by deconvolution was varied vigorously. The O 1s core spectrum of 528.8 eV assigned to oxydic oxygen and CS2O was found only during the operation of O2-Jet at 210°C.
Generally a multi layer films have been prepared by dry process, for example evaporation method and spattering method. In this paper, the preparation method of multi layer film by plating method which is typical wet process is discussed. There are three types of the preparation method which is single cell method, dual cell method, and flow solution method. And especially, in this paper, some photographs of the cross sectional structure of the multi layer film prepared by the plating method are shown. I think that it seems to be possible to make the multi layer film below some nm in each thickness. The plating method is cheaper process to make a metal film, and so previously they are expected to make some functional film.
