Electrofax papers were coated with ZnO heated in N
2 or NH
3, and effects of these treatments on photoelectric properties of ZnO and fax papers were examined.
In the case of ZnO heated in N
2, the highhr temperature the higher sensitivity, but the larger dark decay. Faxpapers coated with ZnO cooled quickly than cooled slowly had less fog.
In the case of ZnO heated in NH
3, sensitivity were highest, dark decay were larger and fog was obtained at 550°C.
In order to raise sensitivity, the lest results practically were obtained in the case of the paper coated with ZnO heated at 550°C, for 3 hours in N
2.
