In this paper with the intention of establishing the high consistency paper making and high efficiency drying process, it became clear that :
1) The rotation viscometer made for investigating the flow behavior of pulp suspension was available for studying the dependency of pulp suspension on the shear stress.
2) It was confirmed that the geometrical structure and properties of paper formed in high consistency (obtained from Ahlström Oy.) was different from the usual as regards bulky structure, higher Z-strength and lower tensile strength.
3) Investigating the pulp dispersion in various head boxes and ducts by means of optical measurement and/or stroboscopic photography chose the better dispersing devices out of them.
4) The refloculation of pulp fibers within several tens microseconds required the instantaneous consolidation in process of sheet formation in 3% pulp suspension.
5) By using the modified existing screen reducing cut width and increasing agitator speed, dusting was possible in 3% pulp suspension. Anxious pulsation was not observed.
6) The differences in viscosities and dispersions of various pulps reduced with increasing shear rate in rotation viscometer.
7) Among the factors affecting drying rate, important were the diminished pressure of water vapor, roughness of dryer plate and the pressure applied on wet sheet.
8) Measuring the heat insulating of dryer pannel joint resulted in replacing the aluminium of inner plate by better insulating material.
