1) The vitamin A contents in the liver, in the mammary gland, plasma vitamin A and carotenoids concentrations, and the glycogen contents in the liver, were determined in cattle killed at the slaughter house in Tokyo. 2) The vitamin A contents of the liver were lowest in April, and highest in December. 3) The proliferation of the connective tissue in the liver reduced markedly the storage of vitamin A in the liver. 4) The relationship between vitamin A and glycogen levels in the liver was not obderved. 5) The vitamin A contents in the liver had any distinct correlation with neither the plasma vitamin A conccntrations nor the vitamin A contents in the mammary dlands.
