We use the “ranking” everywhere. For example, top sales best10, good university top10, etc. And the result of technology/business innovations are also reported as ranking, share top 10, super computer speed ranking, and so on.
Now, What is the ranking itself ?
Our investigation to know the characteristics of the ranking shows that the ranking consists of five groups, 1.Primitive Ranking, 2.Social Ranking, 3.Anthropogenic Ranking, 4.Compound Ranking and 5.Rhetoric Ranking. And our investigation also shows that our behaviors are controlled by the ranking, like homo economics model. So we show a new human model, named “homo ranking”.
Then some suggestions for using the ranking for innovation are considered.

This paper addresses 50 years’ history of the world energy situations, as the first one of a serial named as “ Energy New Paradigm”. The world energy situations have been changing dramatically and giving big impacts on the various aspects in world politics, economies, societies, business, and technologies.
It should be noted that the recent globalization of world economy was triggered by Soviet Union’s collapse in 1991 which was primarily caused by the cheap crude oil prices since 1985. Soviet Union whose economy had been heavily dependent on oil and gas, would not have collapsed so quickly as we saw in 1991, unless the oil and gas prices had been so low since 1985. The above notion prompts us, for example, to review the energy situations and crude oil price movements in 1980s. In order to cope with the challenges we are now facing in various aspects, we should review the recent histories in world energy situations. Those are very dramatic and have abundant implications for us.
Each different paradigm asks us to take different concepts and strategies required.
