The introduction of 3D technology for the construction industry will probably promote specialization rather than become popular self-build. This is because the knowledge required in terms of information technology significantly differs from the knowledge required in traditional construction industry. The general contractor is responsible for production design and the creation of production data, the processing company will expand the innovative business using the NC-machine, and the sub-constructor will be undertaking assembly activity with a little profit that nobody wants to do it. However, modularization in construction production system will contribute to the development of new technology increases productivity. In addition, general contractor must show the direction of technological development of software and machine maker and integrate a variety of techniques. And popularization of 3D technology has the capability for changing the system of traditional construction industry.
In this paper, the author describes a method of pre-cut components in finishing the interior works using 3D laser scanner. In addition, the author describes the drywall panel layout optimization method which consists of the following two steps: first, to generate possible alternative patterns of drywall panel layout in a wall; second, for each alternative pattern, to find out the best combination of panel parts to be cut from a panel of standard size.
Vapor pressure data is essential in the chemical industry. Substances can be separated from mixtures by using the difference in their vapor pressures. I published this data book, containing data sets for 2,000 chemical substances, in 1976. The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) put 80% of Ohe’s vapor pressure data book (1976) on their website (1997). The NIST rejected author’s claim presented by a New York law firm (1998). After I protested through an attorney, they removed my name in the reference column -- but they still continue to display the data. They are publishing almost all of the data, and as if they themselves calculated it. I want them to remove my data from their site immediately. They are already making this data available free of charge. But NIST reserves the right to charge for access to this database in the future. Then, their charging for use of my data will be an even more serious problem.
As you must be aware, the Nobel Prize in Physics has been awarded to a troika of Japanese physicists, Isamu Akasaki, Hiroshi Amano, and Shuji Nakamura, for their enormous contribution in blue LED development. In 2001, Shuji Nakamura, who is now with the University of California, Santa Barbara, sued his former employer, Nichia Corporation, demanding appropriate consideration for his inventions and contributions to the Company. The parties reached a settlement for a payment of 843 million yen in 2005. The following article provides a discussion of the patent related issues and technological evolution involved in blue LED development.
This paper reports an example of the innovation, in case that management resources have some limitation. The Japanese Government announced “Innovation Strategy 2014” last year, specifically the innovation of the medium and small-sized enterprises is expected. However, it is difficult to make innovation happen in the medium and small-sized enterprises because of the limitation of management resources. Therefore, “User Innovation” which is an innovation by “Lead-user”, attracts attention. But “User Innovation” has a problem. It is difficult to find out real “Lead users” who have some kinds of advanced usages. We also recognize many individual creators are highly evaluated than collaboration creators, in the study of the community of “Piapro ” for content creators. So, it is important to find out real “Community Innovators” or “Lead users” for innovation.
When the venture company and the new business will set up, the development of office system ensured stable QCDF(quality, cost, delivery date, flexibility) is difficult without business processes, company regulations and the organization of the information system section is maintained in the resource included a budget, the personal required and a limited time. In addition, the system development in the company require the change of quick and flexible system requirement with considering the internal control to correspond the change of busy environmental and business model. However the development method of PaaS and in-house type is gathering attention recently because there is limit with waterfall type and out-source type as usual. I will take up a future problem and the example of effective system construction of “the Agile in-house type development utilized the PaaS” in severe resource (cost) and situation (delivery date, request, change) as the case of the new smart device broadcast.
“Cloud” is that hardware, software and data held in-house transferred to the connected server group in the public internet. The users are able to utilize only the necessary amount and time for the cloud service as needed. The 3 points of technology innovation for the cloud are 1) virtualization, 2) distributed processing and 3) distributed storage. Virtualization technology will be run multiple operating systems as virtual machines on a single physical server by server virtualization. Distributed processing is that to be processed in parallel by using multiple servers on the network. Distributed storage is that using a plurality of storage that is located on a network as one storage. I want to mention about the points of technology innovation of the cloud era.
The sense-ware is essential for developing the industrial activities in source-, hard- and soft- wares. The sense-ware is composed of the 3 parts: sensibility, individuality and mentality. Among them, the sensibility should be the most important factor for creative design and manufacturing -monodukuri- technology. The sensitivity is the ability to sense the stimulus outside of oneself and depends on how one can catch things in detail and perceive the things impressively. The motivated sense-ware is critically important for creating new products in innovative manufacture. I propose that the sense-ware would be the motivated sensitivity of mind, which comes from the emotion to understand and explore the essence of things and the enthusiasm to challenge the limitation of the material.

I’ve interviewed.Tokyu Corporation International Division, and the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Japan, Hitachi Asia (Vietnam) Co., Ltd, to analyze the success factors, we consider the relationship between the sense wear strategy.
“Monozukuri,” manufacturing, consists of hardware and software. Hardware is a thing that can be physically recognized, and invisible software makes hardware function. The study intents to define “Senseware” based on a hypothesis; in the process of hardware and software embodiment, “Senseware” designs sensitivity of tacit knowledge or understanding. This paper analyzes and shows a relationship between outlines of engineering “Senseware” and building engineering brands. Engineering brands could be established through close communications with customers and building trusts between them.
This paper proposes a premium service for elderly people suffering from dementia. The service does not require new infrastructure, and is accessed by commonly available smartphones. One of the key advantages of this system is that it uses a very small sensor and low energy Bluetooth (BLE) technology which makes it both small and energy efficient. An application installed on smartphones will allow for city dwelling dementia sufferers to be tracked for the purpose of assisting them. The authors conducted a social experiment in Aichi Prefecture, Obu City (Japan) on November 29 (10AM to 11AM), 2014. There were forty participants who searched for sensor carrying elderly people suffering from dementia. The results of this social experiment confirm that this technology will help to find elderly people with dementia.

The purpose of this paper is to define functions of “Senseware” for CEOs who drive innovations.
In a small and medium-sized enterprise (SME), an engineer generally carries out new business planning besides engineering development. Accordingly, a senior engineer who works for SME is also required marketing and business managing skill. But an engineer has a unique style of thinking based on the scientific education, so a competent engineer is not always necessarily an excellent marketer or business person. This paper reports many real actions that were taken against marketing challenges which arisen during the real new technology business launch in time sequence. Those real action cases include “issues and resolutions”. Subsequently, those issues are reviewed again as a problem of a specific communication style between a customer and an engineer. And finally, actual methods which had successfully changed an engineer's thinking to marketing thinking are presented.
The significance of the concept of “division of labor” was demonstrated by Adam Smith in 1776. The idea was based on the balancing of vertical integration of operations and horizontal collaboration among specialized operations, related to market size on product. It is still suggestive in the reality of current global industrial paradigm shift happened in semiconductor and electronics-related industries. Because of tight linkage between knowledge /technology and enterprise organization, their properties on balancing integration and collaboration are also mutually affected to each other. On the other hand, the properties of society, as product market and labor market, are also affected to that of knowledge/technology and enterprise organization. The paper introduces some concrete examples of business strategies of enterprises related to the mutual affection among knowledge, organization and society. Relevant management methodology based on co-evolving these three elements should be created for the future prosperity of enterprises.
This essay is an account by an employee of a Japanese manufacturer of impressions gained during visits to Vietnam, such as while walking around town or observations of Vietnamese workers noticed through the process of interacting with them at local factories. Of particular interest is the high level of manufacturing control that Vietnamese companies possess, which was witnessed through a trial production project.
