In the present study, Dai-Sei-Ryu-To, Chiku-Yo-Sekko-To, Byakko-Ka-Ninjin-To, Eppi-Ka-Jutsu-To, Ma-Kyo-Kan-Seki-To, Byakko-Ka-Keihi-To, and Moku-Boi-To which compound the gyps were used. Warm-infusions of the drugs were prepared by steeping a day-dosage of each drug in the distilled water of 100 mlat 90°C for 30 minutes. The results obtained were summarized as follows:
1) Warm-infusion with the heighest Ca concentration or electric conductivity was Dai-Sei-Ryu-To (50.5mg/dl) or Byakko-Ka-Keihi-To (583Ωcm), and that with the lowest Ca or electric conductivity was Moku-Boi-To (18. 6 mg/dl) or Dai-Sei-Ryu-To (223Ωcm). SO
4- was contained in each of all warm infusions, and pH of them ranged from 4.0 to 5.0.
2) The movements of isolated bufo's heart were inhibited with each warm-infusion, but restored to the former condition after replacing it with Ringer solution.
3) Amounts of bile flow of rats and cats increased with Moku-Boi-To, Byakko-Ka-Keihi-To and Chiku- Yo-Sekko-To, and decreased with Dai-Sei-Ryu-To.
4) Blood pressure of rats and cats rose slightly by the small dose of warm-infusions, and fell by the large dose of them.
