The purpose of this study is to show that the problems of modern society are excellent subjects for integrated learning. We proposed an integrated learning plan based on the Isahaya Bay land reclamation problem in the Kyushu region from the perspective of a cross-curriculum between social studies and science. The problem of land reclamation in Isahaya Bay has not been solved for a long time because there are diverse opinions among farmers, fishermen, and those who instruct nature conservation. By using this as a teaching material, we pointed out that teaching materials that include social dilemmas can make students have diverse opinions.
