In this study ninety five blood specimens (including 44 tuberculous, 13 syphilitic, 13 acute inflammatic, 10 chronic non-inflammatic and 15 healthy) were subjected for comparative study with the “Guttadiaphot”, devised by F. Meyer, W. Bierast, and V. Schilling, and the author's turbidity reaction with normal Ox Lung Tissue Extract.
The results obtained may be summarized as follows
1. The “Guttadiaphot” is a simple and sensitive blood test for various diseases.
2. In 44 tuberculous blood specimens, those from early or incipient and arrested cases, gave the “Guttadiaphot” 20 strong and 23 weak reactions and 1 negative reaction, while the turbidity reaction gave 19 decidedly positive and 25 negative reactions.
