The auther demonstrated that an antibody is produced when lipoids, extracted from tubercle bacilli, are injected into rabits together with the serum of a pig. The summary is as follows.
1. An complement fixing antibody was produced by an Injection of lipoids extracted from tubercle bacilli (typus humanus) mixed with the serum of a pig as a sentizer.
2. A complement fixing antibody was not produced when injected independently with tubercle bacilli, the serum of a pig or the lipoid of tubercle bacilli.
