We examined the actual situation of exercise in 90 female students, and the relations among the physical status, the nourishment intake and the exercise habit. The average of daily step counts was about 6, 500, and only 13 students had formed the exercise habit(14%). The result indicated that most of the students were not in the exercise habit. The exercise group met the Recommended Dietary Allowances requirements for energy, protein, fat, carbohydrate, Ca, Fe and vitamins less than the non-exercise group. The fat energy ratio was over 30% in both groups. The average of the physical status (body weight, Body Mass Index, fat rate, lean body mass) and the amount of exercise (daily step counts, energy consumption) were significantly higher in the exercise group than in the non-exercise group.

The purpose of this paper is to report the details of the network monitoring system with the SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol), which was experimentally introduced to Kochi Gakuen College LAN. The results of the packet flow measurement carried out by this system are also reported. The results of the comparison of inputs and outputs of packet flow with SNMP indicate that inputs of WAN and outputs to 1st, 2nd, 3rd buildings are almost the same, which suggests that most of Kochi Gakuen College LAN users are in these buildings. It turns out from the results that SNMP is a useful protocol in order to cope with network troubles promptly, and to save labors for the pinpointing the exact location of network troubles.

In this paper, I propose an algorithm which finds an optimal edge-coloring of a bipartite graph with m edges and its maximum degree d in O (mlogd+ (m/d) log (m/d) ) time. This algorithm does not require sophisticated data structures such as splay tree, which the best known O (mlogd) algorithm due to Cole-Ost-Schirra makes use of. This is faster than O (mlogd + (m/d) log (m/d) logd) algor-ithms due to Rizzi and Makino-Takabatake-Fujishige.

The main purpose of this paper is to examine whether the percolation analysis of possessor honori-fication in Japanese is correct. I will argue that this analysis makes a wrong prediction concerning aru/iru alternation in Japanese. I will then propose that an NP which is marked as a [-human] is transparent to agreement in Japanese. As a consequence, I will show that Boeckx and Niinuma's (in press) analysis of honorific agreement cannot be maintained.

The purpose of this preliminary study is to report the confusions and troubles that the directors and teachers in early childhood center have. This study was carried out by the interviews at two early childhood centers in Kochi city. The result of them shows that there are mainly three problems that need to be clarified : (1) SISE sounds complicated when they are carried out by the directors and teachers, (2) the way in which the self-inspection and self-evaluation take place is not concrete, and (3) the necessities of its information disclosure are unclear.

The wasabi (Japanease horseradish, Brassicaceae Eutrema japonicum) grow on a nationwide scale, and we can see some of japanease horseradishes are indigenous to kochi prefecture. We can use the part of the stem and leaves of wasabi, and this means that the cultivation of wasabi is possible in the prefecture. There are few parts of wasabi that are wasted. As for the shipment price, wasabi is relatively higher than other crops, Culturist's income increase can be expected. In many mountainous districts in Kochi Prefecture, it is considered that a Japanese wasabi may become one of the spcialties. We investigate the present situation of wasabi in Koch Prefecture. As a result, it turns out that the there is a possiblity that we cultivate the wasabi in the ravine region.
