An elastic stress formulation was expressed for side plates in the case of the corrugated fiberboard box shape (CFBS) supported by upper and lower edges under uniform compression loading, and the deformation continuity of neighbouring plates in side edges was considered by this expression. Then from this formulation, characteristic behaviors of stresses and strains were discussed, and the validity of the formulation was denoted by calculation results. Normal stresses and strains ε
