The purpose of the present study is to evaluate the annual rising rate of the annual temperature and the monthly average temperature, at urban area of Japan in recent years. Further, this report attempts to understand the climate change in Japan and to estimate the current state of global warming. The daily mean temperature, the daily minimum temperature for 59 years were analyzed from 1950 to 2008 using the meteorological observation data that the Japan Meteorological Agency being published on the internet. Moreover, the influence of the economic activity in Japan was examined by analysis on the relationship between the rising rates of the temperatures and the local temperature. Annual average temperature of 47 observations picked up in Japan is rising at the rate of 2.5℃ / 100years. This includes global warming at 1.7℃ / 100years and urbanized effect at 0.8℃ / 100years. Some monthly mean temperatures have a bigger annual rising rate.

In this paper, William Shakespeare’s Cymbeline is compared with other writhers’ plays: Bonduca, The Valiant Welshman, A Shoemaker, a gentleman, and so on. These plays have some points in common; for example, princes are treated and behave as obvious princes not because they are educated as such, but because they are princes by nature. What exerts a great influence in these plays is lineage, especially that of royal family. The importance of lineage is also a matter of vital interest to the Jacobean royal family. The playwrights of these plays are making compliments to King James VI and I and Prince Henry. Cymbeline shows weaker attack to Catholics and weaker support to Protestants than the other plays. Shakespeare is not trying to establish the image of Prince Henry as a Protestant hero by writing the two princes and Posthumus in this play. Instead, it is emphasized that Henry is of a royal, and somewhat legendary, strain.

The purpose of this study is to develop a noninvasive method to measure temperature distribution in tissues by using ultrasonic CT system. Comparison of CT algorisms, simulation of CT reconstruction and the experiment for tissue made of two agars were performed, following results were obtained. (1) Shepp-Logan filtered convolution method and AART are recommended as the effective CT algorisms for Ultrasonic CT. (2) Tissue has an optimum size for the distance between ultrasonic transmitter and receiver. (3) Temperature distribution reconstructed from measured arrival time of ultrasonic wave was distributed within the range of those measured directly, though the discontinuity of temperature was shown at a border of mediums.

The attempt to correct the unbridgeable gulf of the lecture and the experiment for the study of electronic circuit at electronic engineering 3rd year class are presented. The student bought 28 kinds of parts for about 1000 yen, and the experiment over 12 items was done. Experiment during lecture using bread board and electronic parts is effective to learn the electronic circuit than the usual lecture.

In this paper, the methods of designing a touch panel for swimming pool using CSD touch sensing and of the tuning of the panel are discussed. As the results, we obtained that the panel we made works quite stable in laboratory experiments. And also the timer attached to the panel works well, the time the timer measured includes relatively big errors. One of the causes of the errors may be guessed that the oscillator used in the microcontroller is not so precise.

We proposed a new switched-capacitor(SC) DC-DC converter with a low output voltage. This SC converter operates on a pair of two-phase clocks, and provides a large step-down ratio, nevertheless it is composed by a relatively small number of capacitors and switches. The characteristics of the proposed converter are analyzed by assuming an equivalent circuit of an ideal transformer and an output resistance became cascade connection.
Furthermore, the validity of theoretical results and the circuit design is confirmed by SPICE simulations. The simulated results show that (1) the power efficiency of the proposed converter is 80% and more when the output current is 1.5A or less. and (2) the output voltage ripple of the proposed converter is smaller than that of conventional converters.

The operation of switched-capacitor (SC) DC-AC converter are as follows. (1) The DC input voltage is converted into a stair wave by SC converter. (2) The stairs wave is smoothed by a regulator. (3) The sinusoidal AC output is taken out using a full bridge. The power efficiency is different depending on the number of the steps of the stairs wave. Then, the purpose of this paper is to load the expression of the relation between the number of the steps and the power efficiency.

The church architecture of ‘United Church of Christ in Japan, Yatsushiro Church’ is a historic building in Yatsushiro where Christian culture is rich. But it is not yet evaluated. A purpose of this study is to evaluate this church architecture. This paper divides the history of the Yatsushiro Church into four, the days of propagation, the first, the second and the third. And it clarifies the change and the architectural character in each time.

Independent component analysis can estimate unknown source signals from their mixtures under the assumption that the source signals are statistically independent. However, in a real environment, the separation performance is often deteriorated because the number of the source signals is different from that of the sensors. In this paper, we propose an estimation method for the number of the sources based on the joint distribution of the observed signals under two-sensor configuration. From several simulation results, it is found that the number of the sources is coincident to that of peaks in the histogram of the distribution. The proposed method can estimate the number of the sources even if it is larger than that of the observed signals. And we propose a new blind source separation method based on the estimated number on the sources under a dynamic acoustic environment. The proposed methods have been verified by several experiments.

A transparent electrode of Si doped B-Ga2O3 films for solar cells, flat panel displays and other devices, which consist in chemically abundant and ecological elements of gallium and oxygen, were grown on quarts or silicon substrate by RF magnetron sputtering using sintered Ga2O3 and Si target. Unfortunately, the conductivity of Si doped B-Ga2O3 film does not increase by Si doping. However, the B-Ga2O3 energy gap increases with increasing Si concentration in the deposited film. From X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) measurement, peaks correlated with oxygen, gallium and silicon are observed. The Io/IGa XPS peak ratio decreases with increasing Si concentration. It could be said that the oxidation of gallium became weaken with Si doping.
