    〔Objectives〕To clarify the role of medical professionals in the Community Nutrition Support Team (NST), cooperation structure by interprofessional role expectation and the process and the cause of activity development.〔Methods〕Interview study of 43 medical professionals and a qualitative study using a text mining analysis and content analysis.〔Results〕As a result of illustrated mapping of the main roles of⦆10 professionals⦆and cooperation structure, the characteristics of Community NST members was successfully⦆illustrated: a team⦆formed of core members (Doctor, Pharmacist, Registered Dietitian, and Nurse) with a Dentist as its core, in addition to a Care Manager, Public Health Nurse, Speech Therapist and Dental Hygienist. Three main steps were identified in the process of activity development, and it was clarified that following actions are necessary: “Share limited human resources,” “Take action for spreading visiting nutrition and dietary guidance,” “Suggest team formation including dentists,”“ Always be on the lookout and make connections by taking active actions,” “Obtain activity funds and cooperation by including government and professional groups,” and “Gain attention and inform the public.”〔Conclusion〕 By identifying an environment that is conscious of the inter-professional structure and the activity development actions indicated in this study, it is possible to build a Community NST that can maximize professionals’ expertise.
