Recently, medical examinations and treatments for congenital anomalies became to be important in the field of Pediatrics. The special department of out-patients-clinic for human genetics, congenital malformations and mental retardation has been generally derived from pediatric neurology. The out-patient-clinic for congenital malformations started on August, 1971, in our department of Pediatrics on cytogenetic technique. For these three years, the chromosome analysis for 241 cases was examined and 44 cases of these showed chromosome aberrations. Forty cases showed autosomal aberrations and 4 cases showed sex chromosome aberrations. Three cases of sex chromosome aberrations were Turner's syndrome (including mosaicism). Thirty-five cases were recognized as Down's syndrome. Relatively rare cases such as 18-trisomy syndrome and D_1-trisomy syndrome were proved, too. Cases with chromosome aberations examined in our cytogentic laboratorv were reported in this paper.
