In recent years, the increasing frequency and intensity of heavy rainfall disasters due to climate change has made post-disaster recovery more time-consuming and complex. This study conducted a questionnaire survey of municipalities affected by heavy rainfall as a preliminary step toward proposing architectural interventions for community-based disasterresilient hubs that enhance residents’ disaster awareness. The results highlighted the link between warning levels and evacuation behavior, the need for shelter planning that considers prolonged stays, and the importance of mechanisms supporting continuous resident-led disaster prevention activities.
