In my revision of the Japanese Orthosia published in 1955, I pointed out briefly that "Momma paromoea ssp. marginepicta BRYK is not an Orthosia but a member of the so-called "Caradrina-complex" (Athetis auct.) in the Amphipyrinae. My furthur study of the type, which was kindly sent me on loan, by the late Dr. F. BRYK reveals now that marginepicta must be sunk into Hoplodrina euryptera BOURSIN from Setzchwan, S. E. China. The synonymy is discussed above, and the distribution of euryptera thus ranges to N. Korea, where the type of marginepicta was taken, and also to Japan and Formosa, both of which are new localities recorded here.

In the present paper, we describe 2 new species, 1 new race, 1 new seasonal form, and 4 aberrant forms, of which seasonal as well as aberrant forms are published by Mr. CHUNG and MURAYAMA. The description of Favonius ussuriensis n. sp. allied to F. latifasciatus was already given in New Entomologist. Vol. 7, No. 4, p. 6. fig. 13〜16, 1958. Neptis rivularis peninsularum n. ssp. from Korea is smaller than ssp. magnata from Mongol, and differs from ssp. insularum from Honshu, in the point, that the ground colour of underside is more reddish brown and the white bands, spots are generally very distinct. Atella phalanta columbina f. nitens nov. is the autumn-winter form in Formosa. The purplish lustre of underside is strong and more beautiful. 4 aberrant forms of Formosan Neptis are all melanic forms. Tacoraea selenophora laela ab. melas described in "Tyo to Ga" Vol. X. Pt. 4, p. 67, is error of T. cama zoroastres ab. melas. Chrysozephyrus yuchingkinus MURAYAMA et SHIMONOYA sp. nov. (fig. 31) ♂. Very closely allied to Chrysczephyrus mushaellus MATS. , but differs from it in the following main points; (l) Upperside, darkish brown, being not metallic green as the male of general Chrysozephyrus and Neozephyrus, but bears the scattered green scales in discoidal cell of fore wing. (2) Underside, the white line of fore wing is exactly parallel with outer margin, the same of hind wing becomes V-shaped near anal angle, (not W-shaped as mushaellus.) (3) Somewhat smaller. Length of fore wing. 18mm. (4) Brachia of male genitalia very long and slender. Type 1 ♂ Poli (Central Formosa) August, 1958, Mr. Yu CHING KIN leg.
