For the establishment of cerebral arteriosclerosis grading method, hemodynamic parameters for a circulatory model in carotid and cerebral vascular system during a carbon dioxide inhalation were measured. Employing a circulatory model, peripheral resistance is obtained. In case of normal subject, peripheral resistance decreases when carbon dioxide is inhalated. This model makes it possible to diagonose cerebral arteriosclerosis by using a carbon dioxide inhalation.
