ジャーナル オープンアクセスA membrane separation technology is promising for CO2 separation from a flue gas, syngas, natural gas and biogas due to its energy saving and low cost features. A wide variety of membrane materials and their CO2 permeation mechanisms have been studied for high performance CO2 separation and purification applications. An introduction and survey of domestic projects related to CO2 separation by membranes are given below. The latest developments in polymeric, facilitated transport, ionic liquid gel, ceramic, and carbon membranes in Japan are also reviewed. Potentiality of the above mentioned membranes would give a significant impact on the current CO2 capture technologies, such as liquid amine scrubbing. Since CO2 separation performance of the membranes developed in Japan is world top level, and some of them would meet to a required performance and be waiting for practical applications. ジャーナル オープンアクセスAs the installation of the first membrane CO2 removal system for CO2 EOR plant in the early 1980s, membrane gas separation process has become a proven technology for natural gas purification, such as the removal of carbon dioxide, hydrogen sulfide, heavy hydrocarbons or nitrogen. Membrane separation systems are able to handle the bulk removal of impurities or produce pipeline specification natural gas. Such large membrane plants, nowadays, are able to process up to 1 billion standard cubic feet of natural gas per day (BSCFD) for CO2 removal. ジャーナル オープンアクセスAustralia produces a large amount of coal, which is exported mostly to eastern Asia. In Australia, coal is a major resource for the electricity generation. Therefore, Australia is one of the advanced countries that have been addressing the carbon dioxide (CO2) emission. Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) is one of the practical approaches to reduce the CO2 emission. Numerous studies for carbon capture by various technologies such as absorption, adsorption, cryogenic, and membrane separation have been investigated to be effective and economical technology in CCS process. ジャーナル 認証ありThe requirements for waste water discharge have become more stringent recently and the industrial waste water treatment system sometimes requires Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) and Minimal Liquid Discharge (MLD) in some countries. To optimize the MLD/ZLD waste water treatment system, it is important to maximize the system recovery by Reverse Osmosis (RO) system to minimize both CAPEX and OPEX of the entire system. In order to solve some challenges of the MLD/ZLD system and optimize the system, the product family of DOW FILMTECTM FORTILIFETM as new anti–fouling elements was developed. Some case studies for MLD/ZLD system in China and India which applied DOW FILMTECTM FORTILIFETM elements are shown in this paper. These case studies demonstrate a reliable and highly efficient system to help solve the challenges of MLD/ZLD system for waste water treatment and reuse.抄録全体を表示PDF形式でダウンロード (724K)
