The author innestigated the relations between the aspects of gypsum and the properties of clinker, and obtained the properties of cement clinker, and obtained results which follows-.
(1) Generally the clinker at the beginning of weathering, the time required for the initial set of the clinker shows some retardation; soon false set property or double set properties fallows in others.
As the weathermg progresses, the slow set property again takes place.
(2) There is almost no difference between the time reguired for the gypsum anhydrite and gypsum semi-hydrate; but gypsum dihydrate is generally of slow set property.
In the case of gypsum dihydrate, although the clinker sets slowly as compared the two formers, the resulting hydration is far more stable.
No apprecible difference can be recongnized in the stability tests.
(3) In the strength test it is recongnized that strength of the gypsum dihydrate is the upper most.
There is almost no difference between the strength between the gypsum anhydrite and the gypsum semihydrate in other words, when the strength is rebuiree primarily, the use of gypsum dihydrate especially is more advoisable than that the gypsum anhydrite or the gypsum Semi-hydrate.
(4) In cases when the setting properties are required primarily, altlhough. there is almost no difference in the time required for the gypsum semi-hydrate and for the gypsum, anhydrate, the former is somewhat more. advisable in the sake of its stable set.
