Over the past several years, advances in print engine and imaging technologies have helped to make digital color proofing devices more useful in predicting the quality of proof during the design and layout process. This paper reports users' evaluation of colour printers from the report issued by The Japan Federation of Printing Industries.
Technological and industial history of Flexography printing method. The most unique point of this technology has been established in order to enable V us to have long-run printing on the substrate surface of widely various packaging materials. Flexible plate transfers liquid type of ink onto very rough paper substrate such as corrugated board, on the other hand it transfers ink also onto very plane film surface of so-called Flexible-packaging materials. Key factors influencing printed quality and productivity are Anilox-Roll, ink, plate and press condition.
Electrochemical polymerization technique was applied to form an ink acceptable image on a lithographic plate. Aromatic monomers such as pyrene or carbazole could be polymerized even in their solid state by electrochemical oxidation. However, the polymerization took place selectively on the substrate. The polymers could be formed on stainless steel, platinum and nesa coated glass. The contact angles of as-prepared electrochemically polymerized films were ranging between 60-70 degrees versus distilled water. They could be improved to around 90 degrees by heat treatment. Surface treatment on the stainless steel substrate reduced its contact angle versus water to less than 20 degrees. A combination of the film and the substrate was tested as a offset pressplate. Good quality printing was obtained with this type of lithographic plate.
Process for manufacturing the printed circuit boards is described. The steps of this process is as follows: PET film substrate with undercoated layer which adsorbed Pd/Sn colloidal nuclei by dipping treatment is electroless copper plated and pattern electroplated using photolithography; this metal pattern on the film substrate is transfered by peel apart method to the insulating substrate using adhesive layer. This process is promising in the field of automatic assembling of high density, especialy multilayer printed circuit boards. And in this paper, mecahnisms of the formation of black copper layer and transfer process by peel apart are discussed.
A new flow of prepress caused by DTP has made prepress system open and at the same time it brought a possibility of a desktop scanner, digital camera and PhotoCD as a new input device. These devices in the nature were not designed for printing nor it was not designed for prepress system, but as density and quality of photo sensor is becoming higher year after year, digital image input devices having enough quality for a printing input device are appearing in a market. In this paper, image processing technology of digital image for printing are introduced.
