68 cases of trochanteric fractures operated in our clinic during past 4 years were reviewed. 29 cases were treated with Compression Hip Screw (C. H. S.) and 21 were with Ender's nails.
In this review, a comparison study of the results by both method were reported. The Ender method was superior to C. H. S. with regard to the operative stress (bloodloss, time for operation and so on), so this method is thought more suitable for aged patients of poor risks. On the other hand, technical skillfullness was demanded for Ender method to get a good result, because it had complications than C. H. S. intra-and post operatively.
