This study examined how institutional and economic factors of milk collection actors influence the change to dairy farmers' membership in Indonesia. Data from four actors and 100 dairy farmers in 2024 were analyzed with descriptive statistics and logistic regression. The higher milk prices of private collectors significantly increased the likelihood of farmers leaving dairy cooperatives, while service satisfaction promoted member retention. Regional differences were also important, as farmers in East Java were more likely to change than those in West Java. The study highlights that maintaining competitive prices and improving services are essential for sustaining cooperative membership.
