This study aimed to present the procedure employed in sign language translations of on-demand research presentation videos for the Research Institute of National Rehabilitation Center for Persons with Disabilities open houses in 2021 and 2022. Traditionally, adding sign language translations to videos have involved recording on-the-spot simultaneous sign language translations by hearing interpreters. In our approach, deaf interpreters take the time to prepare the script and meticulously film the translation, ensuring that the videos are suitable for repeated viewing. In this paper, key topics, including initial translation, filming, video editing and screen layout, and the responsibilities of deaf interpreters and translation coordinators, were addressed. Furthermore, the rationale behind prioritizing translation over interpretation was explored. The significance of accumulating high-quality video translations and making them available for future generations was explained.
