A considerable literature exists already on the so-called threshold tone decay (TTD) test which has been studied by the manual method used a standard audiometer, but little work has been reported one the self-recordin method. A new adaptor was designed and made for the self-recording TTD test in our laboratory. The device which consisted of two relay circuits was used in connection with a self -recording audiometer. This method was very convenient to make a practical application for the selfrecording TTD test. The mechanism and circuit of the new adaptor was explained and an example recorded by this test was shown in the present paper.
Dacryocystorhinostomy by West's method was performed on a patient with epiphora after facial injury, but failed to obtain satisfactory result. It was found that lacrimal flow cannot be altered by simple bypass between the lacrimal sac and the nasal cavity. Therefore it is necessory to reestablish more physiological lacrimal flow in relation to the surrounding structures, in addition to the removal of obstruction of the lacrimal passage.
Four cases of nasopharyngeal cancer were studied by X-ray laminography. Laminogram of the skull were taked half a centimeter distance on three planes, i.e. sagittal, frontal: and horizontal. Normal head and a dried skull specimen were X-rayed in the same manner for comparison. In the skull specimen, lead threads were placed in the area of anatomical landmarks. It was found that laminographic study provided valuable imformations concerning diagnosis, planning of surgery and evaluation of prognosis of these cases.
