ジャーナル フリーFor last three years authors have used processed heterogenous bone in surgeries on the paranasal sinuses or on the ear and in reconstructive surgeries of the face.
Reviewing the results obtained from above experience authors concluded that this material has been proved to be a satisfactory substitute for the autogenous bone and be applicable to a variety of surgeries of the otolaryngology if indication is meticulously selected because of the great advantage that this is obtainable at any size or any shape required without unnecessary injuries to the patients.抄録全体を表示PDF形式でダウンロード (10438K) -

ジャーナル フリーSeven cases of recurrent frontal sinusitis were reported, which had shown periodical lagophthalmos and some of orbital symptoms.
We considered the etiology is that there is a well-developed sinus along the upper orbital wall and the frontal sinus has rested at the first or second operation and has been isolated by obstru ction of the passage and usually it does not show any symptom with uncomplete drainage, but if some infection occur in the isolated sinus, the elevated pressure, inflammation, edema or infiltration influencing to the surrounding tissue or organ, and then especially orbital symptoms, are often seen.

ジャーナル フリーA total of 71 patients with chronic sinusitis has been treated with EMPYNASE by a dose of three capsules daily for a consecutive 30 days, thus the efficacy of this drug has been studied objectively as well as subjectively.
Conclusions drawn from present study can be summarized as marked improvement in 24.5%, improvement in 36.6%, slight improvement in 22.5% and fail in 15.5%.
It has been noticed that in not a few cases, patients expressed alleviation of the symptoms during the course of treatment without any associating evidence of objective improvement.
In caseinolytic study however, activity of the enzyme in the diseased antral mucosa indicated no appreciable difference with the ones in the control group.抄録全体を表示PDF形式でダウンロード (1133K) -

ジャーナル フリーMinatohl-P has been administered orally to a total of 40 patients with chronic sinusitis in order to evaluate the therapeutic effect from clinical basis by means of objective and subjective manifestations.
The improvement of the symptoms, both subjectively and objectively, has been obtained in 40% of the cases.
Authors concluded that this drug is of value in conservative treatment of chronic sinusitis.
This drug has also been used for postoperative cases in combination with antibiotics with favorable results in decreasing the postoperative discharge.
