  • チタン錯体を含むポリアクリルアミドの光可溶化

    Titanium complexes, such as titanium citrate, tartrate and lactate, reacted with polyacrylamide (PAAm) to form a crosslinked polymer. The crosslinked PAAm film became insoluble in water.
    Titanium complexes also reacted with water to form partially hydrolyzed titanium complexes which could not act effectively as a crosslinking agent of PAAm at the ordinary temperature. However, the solubility of PAAm film containing the complexes decreased markedly in an aqueous acetic acid solution. The decrease of solubility attributed to the crosslinkage of PAAm with the complexes in the acetic acid solution.
    Exposure to ultraviolet light increased the solubility of crosslinked PAAm film, and that of PAAm film containing partially hydrolyzed complexes in an aqueous acetic acid solution.
    The increasing solubility by the exposure is attributed to the photoreduction of Ti (IV) to Ti (III), which led to the degradation of the crosslinkage and to the inactivation of the complexes.

    The variation of relief height on the developed and/or bleached photographic image has been measured for SCIENTIA 10E75AH photographic plate by exposing with a spatial frequency series of sinusoidal patterns and scanning the developed images to determine the peak-to-peak variation of density and the modulation of the exposed pattern for each frequency.
    A rotary drum method and a laser interference method were used for exposing the sine-wave test patterns.
    The response characteristics of the micro-densitometer and the modulations of exposed patterns can be obtained by assuming the ordinal MTF of the photographic plate to the always 1.
    MTF of photographic relief images can be calculated from the data obtained by experimental measurements for an unbleached or a bleached photographic material.
    A method is described for obtaining the MTF of general relief images formed by photo-sensitive materials.

    In order to elucidate reaction mechanisms of free radical photo-sensitive materials, flash photolytic investigations are made on the following systems; diphenylamine, N-phenyl-l-naphthylamine-tetrabromomethane, tribromomethane, dibromomethane, 1, 2-dibromoethane, benzylbromide, tetrachloromethane, trichloromethane. On all systems, the absorption spectra and decay of the amine cation radicals are observed. Also on diphenylamine-tetrachloromethane and trichloromethane systems, it is observed that the N type radical of diphenylamine is made from diphenylamine cation radical quantitatively. According to these results, it is confirmed that the common photochemical process via exciplex formation, charge separation, dissociation to amine cation radical and anion radical of corresponding halogenated compound takes place on every system. Also it is confirmed that the first nonionic intermediates of dye forming reactions are the aromatic amine N type radical and the radical A · of halogenated compound AX. Moreover the refined and more elaborate reaction mechanisms are presented.

    Photographic properties of cobalt (III), copper (II) and palladium (II) malonato complexes were studied by measuring photographic sensitivities and spectral sensitivities. The results were compared to those of the corresponding oxalato complexes. It was shown that malonato complexes were less sensitive than the corresponding oxalato complexes. The most sensitive among the complexes studied here was potassium dioxalato palladium (II), followed by oxalatodiamino palladium (II). These two complexes also showed the largest amplification of sensitivity when thermally developed. Spectral sensitivities of malonato complexes are similar to those of oxalato complexes found in literatures.
    The mechanisms of photolysis and pyrolysis were studied to identify the image compounds by measuring infrared and reflection spectra and differential scanning calorimetry curves (DSC). It was found that cobalt (III) malonato complex was reduced to cobalt (II) complex and palladium (II) malonato complex decomposed probably to metal or oxide.
