Panasonic was released DMC-GH4 that is the ultimate high-end hybrid mirror-less single lens camera to meet the professional requirements of the photos and videos by the overwhelming mobility and 4K feature at April,2014. This product, while keeping the "small and light" that is expected to essentially mirror-less camera, is equipped with DFDAF that takes advantage of big evolution by the DFD technology in AF, and can record 4K video that is an era of trends into the camera. Moreover, as a type that can withstand more fully video professional use, it was achieved the expansion of extensibility by AG-YAGH. On this lucubration, we will mention the technical development including the process that realizes them, specification determination, and the further possibility that GH series will be described.

An electronic viewfinders (EVF) of mirrorless interchangeable-lens camera, shows you the exact picture that the image sensor sees. This lets you check your adjustments (exposure, incl. white balance, saturation, effects etc.) in real time when taking a picture. Any display lag between the optical finder and EVF can mean missed shooting opportunities, so this time should be shortened as much as possible. For this subject, the FUJIFILM X-T1's Real Time Viewfinder allows a true connection to your subject and a purely immersive shooting experience. The viewfinder achieves the display's lag time of just 0.005 sec and the world's highest magnification ratio of 0.77x in DSC category. Comfortable shooting for the first experience ever was realized by the viewfinder of the X-T1. Some technologies equipped with the X-T1 that mainly contained the development of the finder were introduced in this article.

In November 2014, Olympus released “M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 40-150 mm F2.8 PRO”. In spite of the smallness and light-weight, it has some great features, High optical performance and Dust-proof, Splash-proof, Low temperature-resistant. And these features make a contribution to the expanding photography domains of professional users. In this paper, the technology for incarnating these features, “smallness and light-weight” and “close-up performance”, is explained.

PENTAX 645Z is a successor model of the PENTAX’s first medium format camera 645D, launched in 2010. 645D was known by its high resolution image produced by the big CCD sensor with a tough which can be carried to the fields. As the price setting was reasonable, it was well accepted to photo enthusiast, leading to a good sales result. On the other hand, we received many requests to improve the operation response. 645Z has mainly answered to this request and has also improved its image quality to enhance the perfection level.

Durability of gold-layer photographs was increased by covering it with silica layer prepared by the high-frequency sputtering method. Strength of the layer was measured with pencil-hardness test. Silica-layer coating increased the durability for scratching, and the deterioration of layer-strength caused by submergence in water was also improved. The stabilizing effect depended on the thickness of silica-layer and indicated the maximum at around 200nm. The significant differences were seen at the layer-strength even of the same sample and of the same average thickness depending on the measurement areas with different degrees of surface roughness associated with the gold layer underneath. It is expected that appropriate layer-forming will increase the durability of gold-layer photographs.

Employed in the detection of radiation tracks by fluorescence-labeling method, an aliquot of an oxacyanine dye (NK863, 3,3’-diethyl-2,2’-oxacyanine iodide, IUPAC name : 3-ethyl-2[-(3-ethyl-2(3H)-benzoxazolylidenem)ethyl] benzox azolium iodide) taken out of a manufacturing batch of the dye exceptionally did not emit fluorescence on silver iodide grains produced along the tracks. In the process to investigate the cause of this phenomenon, oxacarbocyanine dye (NK85, 3,3’-diethyl-2,2’-oxacarbocyanine iodide, IUPAC name : 3-ethyl-2[-3-ethyl-2(3H)-benzoxazolylidene-]1-propenyl] benzoxazolium iodide), which has similar structure to NK863, was examined. Both dyes scarcely emitted fluorescence when they were adsorbed separately on silver iodide, but strong emission was observed when they were adsorbed together. This emission was observed characteristically on silver iodide, even though the molar ratio of NK85/NK863 dye was only 1/1000. It was considered that both had the interaction only on silver iodide and the energy absorbed by NK863 dye would transfer efficiently to NK85 dye and the latter emitted the strong fluorescence.

Since the surface space-charge layer composed of excess interstitial silver ions exists beneath the surface of silver halide crystal, it is considered that silver bromide grains have a double-structure of the shell with high ionic conductivi ty and the core with low ionic conductivity. Applying the Pauly-Schwan/Hanai theory about the dielectric response of grains with double-structure to this system, we calculated the size dependences of dielectric loss response of silver bromide micro-crystal, which was compared with that measured experimentally, thereby finding that both calculated and measured responses were consistent well. Thickness of the space-charge layer with high ionic conductivity was estimated to be about 0.06μm from this comparison.
