The EOS 5DS and 5DS R are the digital SLR cameras aimed at the professional and advanced amateur photographers who put much emphasis on high resolutions in their photographic works, featuring a 35 mm full-frame CMOS sensor with approximately 50.6 effective megapixels. They also feature the approximately. 100% field of view coverage in their viewfinders, 61 AF points, maximum continuous shooting speed of approximately 5.0 fps, full high-definition (Full HD) movie shooting capability, and other advanced digital technologies. This document outlines the main outstanding features of those two sister models.

For the purpose of Dark Matter (DM) search, a method for high-sensitivity recording of recoil particles due to DM has been proposed. With respect to the energy loss of low-speed particles, there are two mechanisms of electronic stopping power and nuclear stopping power, although there is no established theory for the photographic action of the latter. In this paper, authors would discuss the photographic effect of nuclear stopping power based on the observation of low temperature triboluminescence, and further discuss with respect to high sensitivity detection of lowspeed particles.
