    Recently, developments on a field of polymer physics are remarkable both on the theoretical and experimental viewpoints. Though fracture behavior on high polymers is not yet clear at present time, some theoretical and experimental advances enable us to utilize for industrial purposes. So, in this treatise, theory of mechanical break down, influences of molecular structure on tensile strength are discussed. The tensile strength increases with an increase of specific cohesion, degree of stretching, crystallinity and cross-linking. Fractures proceed on interfaces of spherulites and depend on its size. The time-temperature superposition principle is available for fracture behavior on both amorphous and crystalline high polymers. From this principle we can decide high speed strength by measuring of low temperature. Except Bueche's theory, theoretical predict of fracture properties have failed.

    In the previous report, addition agents (6-nitrobenz-imidazole, Benztriazole) were separated from Phenidone-Hydroquinone developer by paper-chromatography and determined photometrically.
    Now instead of paper, cellulose ion exchanger adsorbent column was employed in this analysis. The micro quantitative separation and photometrical determination method of addition agent in Phenidone-Hydroquinone and their oxides mixture was described.
    Adsorption and desorption behavior of addition agent against to cellulose ion exchanger adsorbent column was explained by paper electrophoretic value of each addition agent.
    By the use of DEAE-OH-, -OAC-, -Cl- and SE-H+ columns, five sorts of anti-fog andanti-bronzing agents were found to be very favorable from photographic developer. The standard deviation of this experiment was 1 % and less, resulted from usual addition range.

    Basic dye such as cyanine dyes is poorly adsorbed on silver bromide, silver sulfide and silver in the presence of silver nitrate, and well adsorbed on these adsorbents in the presence of potassium bromide. On the contrary, acid dye such as orange II is well adsorbed on silver bromide, silver sulfide and silver in the presence of silver nitrate, and poorly adsorbed on these adsorbents in the presence of potassium bromide. The adsorption of neutral dye such as merocyanine having a strong dipole moment on silver bromide, silver sulfide and silver always increases by both the presence of silver nitrate and that of potassium bromide. These results have been explained by the assumptions that silver bromide, silver sulfide and silver were positively charged when the surrounding solutions contain silver nitrate, and negatively charged when the solutions contain potassium bromide. Also, cyanine dyes are equally well adsorbed on silver bromide, silver sulfide and silver in the presence of potassium bromide.

    Relations between goodliness of photographic prints and slope of tone reproduction curves is studied. Experiment were carried out with samples having various negative sizes which correspond to 8mm, 16mm and 35mm motion picture negative.
    Decreases of the negative size yield decreases of the slope of tone reproduction curve which derived directly from original luminance and print density, therefore, optimum developing time which estimated with categorical- and comparative-judgement is found longer for small negative than large one. And, in this case, density-response in various negative sizes was consisted with the spacial frequency which correspond to maximum response of eye.

    Spectral sensitivity measurements are described below of 10 diazo papers available on the market. These include 4 general moisture, 4 gas developing types and 2 new high speed types.
    Exposure method used in these measurements is time scale exposure with monochromatic light by combination of xenon compact arc lamp and grating monochromator.
    Results are summerised below: 1. Normal moisture type diazo papers have two peaks responses in their sensitivity region. Wavelength os these peaks are approximately 4000-4050Åand 3300Å.
    2. Maximum sensitivity wavelength of gas diazo papers is approximately 3900-3950Å.
    3. Sensitivity region of high speed moisture type diazo papers is narrower than general type, and maximum sensitivity wavelength are 4100-4200Å.
    4. In longer wavelength side of the foregoing, spectral sensitivity of these diazo papers has conformed to spectral absorption characteristics of each coated sensitive material solution.
